Batman v Superman is receiving mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike. The film features a score by the famous Hans Zimmer and the up and coming Junkie XL, who recently composed the score for another comic book movie, Deadpool, and Mad Max: Fury Road which was nominated for 10 Oscars and ended up winning 6 Academy Awards.

How does the score fare though? Does it stand alone well or does it only mix with the movie? Here are my top five tracks from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

  1. This Is My World
  2. Is She With You?
  3. The Red Capes Are Coming
  4. Their War Here
  5. Do You Bleed

This score does not stand alone well, but thankfully it is incorporated into the movie decently providing a solid blockbuster comic book atmosphere.

The score is rather short, clocking in at an hour and eleven minutes. Here are how the remaining 8 tracks rank.

6. Beautiful Lie
7. Black and Blue
8. Day of the Dead
9. Problems Up Here
10. Tuesday
11. Men Are Still Good – The Batman Suite
12. New Rules
13. Must There Be a Superman? (This track is unbearable)

Whether you want to get hyped for the movie or relive some of the film’s memorable moments give a listen to the top five or continue with the rest (it won’t take long anyway). Sadly, I cannot recommend this Hans Zimmer collaboration for purchase, but it’s currently free to listen to on Spotify.
